Transcription Ensemble, a very experienced ensemble in live performances that had the luck to perform even in the prestigious Tate Modern in London, are returning to their "birthplace". The idea of marking out transcriptions for trio of famous works is an idea that took shape in Rhodes in 2007. A musical tradition though that has its roots in the 18th and 19th century. A time that the big orchestras were very sought after. In those days not every town had the opportunity to host massive ensembles. So in order to please the audiences, legendary composers like Handel, were producing transcriptions for small ensembles of their symphonic works, that way donating their ingeniousness all over the world. Transcription Ensemble's goal is to highlight this wonderful tradition.
