The classical period was not exactly a perfect one for the guitar. On the other
hand the pre-classical era likewise the 20th century was a period when guitar
compositions boomed. The baroque era as well as prolific contemporary composers
had a passion with them. The Japanese guitarist Takeo Sato –based on his
Far-Eastern temperament and his German education- will present a program that
connects those two periods by traversing through a fascinating route from J. S
Bach to his countryman and a significant composer of the last century Toru
Takemitsu.
